Welcome to Mid-Atlantic Veterinary Hospital! Let’s take a tour of your pet’s newly updated healthcare facility!

Hi, I’m Kennedy, one of the MAVH cats. It WAS a bright and sunny day for me when I was given a second chance at a great life thanks to Dr. Altendorf, our resident cat doctor. She knew my beating heart had some very serious problems, but she understood that my loving heart still had plenty to give. That’s why I am your official Walking Tour Guide! Hope you enjoy your visit to my home!

Aha! No metal tables here because Dr. Franklin decided on custom cabinetry with clean lines and plenty of storage space to avoid counter clutter in every one of our 11 exam rooms. Now our doctors can always provide thorough care for your pets in comfortable, functional spaces for ALL of you.

I’m Jack, the one-eyed, full-tilt MAVH Cat. Clearly, I am the focus of this photo, which is purrfectly appropriate. But you can probably still see the IDEXX lab behind me and other important tools, like a Nikon microscope with attached camera and a fecal-only centrifuge so our doctors can promptly evaluate what is really going on with your pet’s health.

OK, step away from the (surgery) table with that syringe! I’m just here for a catnap, NOT for any of the surgeries routinely performed at MAVH: Orthopedic procedures (TTA, FHO, MPL), Exploratories for “foreign bodies” (what missing sock?!), “spays”, “neuters”, excisions of “lumps and bumps” with biopsies, removals of bladder stones (cystotomies), thyroidectomies, eye enucleations, “anal glands-be-gone" surgeries and many, many more!

Thunder is showing you the interior of one of our custom cat condos. I wanted you to see the horizontal bars on the doors which are purrfect for the way our incredible eyes view the world. The nearby window is a favorite of ours too.

Shazam! It does what to my tissue?? Light energizes my cells to reduce pain and inflammation and promote healing?! Wow, this is a cutting-edge THERAPEUTIC LASER and I’m sure it can help many of my petfriends to feel and heal better!

You want me where?” “Underwater!???” “Oh, Underwater Treadmill” Yes, Thunder, Underwater Treadmill.
Aha, so this is what we do with it (I’ve been waiting for the goldfish)!
